What private actually changes
Not the route. Private tours over Oahu fly the same corridors as shared ones, because the airspace and the noise rules are the same for everybody. What changes is inside the aircraft.

Not worth it: two people who want the view. The route is identical and the bubble windows on a shared flight are genuinely good. Put the money into a longer flight instead — an hour shared shows you far more of Oahu than twenty minutes private.
